The Alpha Course is a ten-week course that covers some of the basic questions about the Christians faith. But this course is far from basic. Someone who recently finished the course said: "Alpha answered questions that I didn't even know I had."
The course schedule goes as follows:
1. Who is Jesus?
2. Why did he die?
3. How can I be sure of my faith?
4. Why ad how should I read the Bible?
5. Why and how should I pray?
6. How does God guide us?
7. How can I resist evil?
8. Why and How should I tell others?
9. Does God heal today?
10. What about the church?
Alpha also includes a weekend away retreat that focuses on the person and work of the Holy Spirit.
The typical Alpha program begins with dinner provided by the church, followed by a time of worship and singing. Then there is a 40 minutes video presentation, followed by small group discussion on the topic at hand.
